Wolfgang “The Wolf” Bergthaler, known as one of the main characters in my book “Tweeting in Tuk-Tuks”, has founded a new startup: With DiverCity, he gives people with different cultural backgrounds the opportunity to connect by sharing a meal with each other.
You can think of DiverCity as the Airbnb of food: People register as hosts on the platform and specify which cuisine they offer, guests can search for meals in their neighborhood and visit the cook. By sharing dinner, people also share their thoughts and values.
So far, the community of DiverCity is mainly concentrated on the city of Graz – Wolfgang moved there some time ago. But since I really like the idea, I hope it will spread to other cities soon.
